Cooking with Cricut-Graduation/End of School

Welcome to another Cooking with Cricut Challenge Week.  This week it is all about end of school/Graduations. We were in full graduation mood yesterday with my middle daughter graduating from Kindergarten...oh have to admit a few years leaked out watching that ceremony.

This cartridge was created using Locker Talk...any oldie but goodie.  Both the hat and the sentiment are from that cart.  Now the year I cut from the Alphabet cart that is installed on my E2.  Paper is from my stash.

and here is a photo of my own graduate daughter, Izzy!

2 Sisters Challenge-Inside and Out

Good morning and welcome back for our 94th challenge.  This week we are being sponsored by... STITCHY BEAR STAMPS This week the theme of our challenge is INSIDE & OUT.  For this challenge we want to see not only the outside of your cards or projects completed but also the inside.  So when you post your entries make sure that you include a picture of both the outside and the inside of your offerings.

I decide to try something new this time around. This is a first time for me. I decided to whip out my watercolor pencils and use those to color the image.  I actually really enjoyed working with them and things it came out okay...not sure if I will do this again anytime soon but hey it was nice to switch it up a bit. The paper is from CTMH-Stella collection and the image is from Floppy Latte image.

TP Link up for Pink

So in my blogging for my DT commentation, I came across a fabulous new challenge site.  It is called Link Up for Pink.  Once I saw their cause I knew that I wanted to jump on their bandwagon and get on it.  It is only their second challenge so please stop over there. I am not on a DT or anything but love supporting fellow crafters as they try to grow in our community.

I rifled through my pile and found this lovely Pinkette image I have not colored so got busy and here is what I created. Sorry for the darken picture but still waiting for the sun to get through my clouds here.  Got some new Copics the other day (E11,13,15) and wanted to give them a try.  So excited that I won at the Some Odd Girl Challenge so I will be buy more of those skin tones I have on my list from my gift card.

Oh and my Dental drama continues...my temporary filling she did at my root canal before she put the post cracked as did my tooth so just spend 2 hours yesterday at the Peridonist getting a temporary fix for me to go back to my dentist in 6 weeks for a post and crown. UUUGGHHHH.  Definitely gonna have to pick up some extra shifts at my per diem job to cover this nonsense.

Enjoy your crafty day and remember starting tomorrow I have daily DT posts coming up!

Cooking with Cricut-Challenge 88 Flowers

So happy to see how many new followers on my blog. Welcome everyone and hope to be commenting on many of you in my challenge DT rotations.  Today we have another fabulous challenge at Cooking with Cricut. This week at Cooking With Cricut we are creating projects with flowers.

I have been trying my best to clear out my stash and use the items I have at had.  I decided to dig out a Cartridge that I have not used in awhile, Walk in My Garden.  I created a 4x9 card and used a retired stash of paper I had in my collection from CTMH and use it to cut out the stems and the center of the flowers.  I also used up some of my neverending pile of chipboard I have with the butterfly that I just sponged with three different ink colors and sponged and stamped the Sentiment.  Ribbon/Brads are from my stash.

So lets see what you create with your Cricut.  I will be entering this one in:

1) Shopping our Stash-May flowers
2) Ladybugs Crafts Ink-Something with Wings
3) Latinas en America Retro-Mariposas/Butterflies
4) Die Cuttin Divas-Anything Goes with a Die Cut
5) Creative Card Crew-Dimension
6) Celebrate the Occasion-Anything Goes

Yeah..I have been chosen to be on the Loves Rubberstamps Design Team

Many of you know that if I had a choice between a good ole-fashion stamp and a digi...it would be a stamp hands down. I feel I can get so much more crisper and detail images, better coloring and makes my paper piecing madness even easier!

I figured I would give it a long shot to apply for the Loves Rubberstamps design team and with luck on my side, Laura Love, was kind enough to pick me for this team!!! Yeah.  I am soooo excited to be part of the very talented team and to show you the fabulous items she has in the store....including some the most popular brands of Whimsy Stamps, Sweet Pea, Great Impressions, Belle & Whistles, Lawn Fawn, Flourishes, Mo Manning, Stamping Bella and MORE! She is also the ONLY USA Retailer of Crafty Sentiments Stamps too. She is constantly adding more and more retailers too so keep coming back to check on her inventory.

Our first challenge will be next Tuesday so I hope to see all of you there with your fabulous creations and to win some fabulous prizes!  To check out the store, please stop by Loves Rubberstamps to see the great items she has to offer.

Karen Doodles-Get Well Card

Hello Everyone. I was finally been able to get my attention focused on finishing this card.  Sometimes my ADD gets in the way and I am doing like 5 projects at one time but I was determined to get this one in.

I created this one with two challenges in mind...one is Karen's Doodles. I do adore her images and the other one is Latinas en America. I cut out the character after coloring with my Copics...again some paper piecing and placed on a Spellbinders Scallop cut.  Paper is from my Stash.

I will be entering this on in

1) Latinas en America- based on their Sketch
2) Karen Doodles-Stitching (can you see my stitching on the edges?...I did faux stitching but think it may be too light on the pink background).

2 Sisters Challenges-This one for the Boys!

Good morning and welcome back to the 2 Sisters challenge. This week we are being sponsored by. . .

Our challenge is. . . .
Bring on The Boys!!

This week we want to see projects using male images only.

Sparkle Creations

As many of you who visit me regularly...(I hope to have more of that) know I love Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps. Her stamps are fabulous and I always prefer red rubber stamps for their crisp pictures. I believe this stamp is called Daffodil Charlotte. They have challenges too but this one does not fit the theme so will be just going to other challenges.
I stamped with my Memento Black and then colored with my Copics markers. I decide to just paper piece her apron.  This paper set is called Sophia from CTMH but I am pretty sure this is retired.  The flowers I created with my Cricut with the Art Philosophy cartridge.  *****I am saying this with no benefit to myself but the Art Philosophy Cartridge is the BEST Cartridge I have ever had and soooooo happy with the many ways I can use it. It is pretty much my go to cartridge and I would strongly encourage you to get it for those serious Cricuteers (is that a word???).  Sentiment is from My Creative Times-This and That set.

I will be entering this one in:

Outlawz Challenge-Anything Goes

So Proud-D'arcy Diaries

This card was create with my babysitter in mind. She is graduating from high school and off to college in August.  She too enjoys scrapbooking and I often let her borrow my Cricut Cartridges for project cause I am hoarder of those too :-)..but at least with my DT-Cookin with Cricut I have been putting them to good use.

Anyways, this fabulous digi is from D'arcy Diaries. They appear to be a more recent digi company but I always appreciate unique talent and her drawings are like no one else I have seen.

I am not really happy with my shading of my dark blues. I am still working on using the darker colors since it is not a color I turn to often so forgive me...any pointers greatly appreciated.  The paper is from MME and I used my Cricut to create the background she is applied too as well as the pennants.

I will be entering this one in:

1) D'arcy Dairies Challenge-Bunting/Pennants
2) Charisma Cardz-No flowers
3) Hot Shot Crafts-Die Cuts
4) Bearly Mine-Anything Goes-2nd entry
5) Bunny Zoes-Anything Goes
6) Send a Smile for Kids-Anything Goes for kids
7) Ohh la la-Ribbon and Twine
8) Penny Paper Crafty-Anything Goes

Cookin with Cricut-Day 4 Tiara or Crown!

Welcome to Paper Crafting World and Cooking With Cricut's 2nd Blog-Aversary and our week long celebration! Each day for a whole week (May 19-26) we will be bringing you fabulous projects made by our Design Team members. We have some GREAT blog candy as well as some daily file and graphic give-aways -- so you will definitely want to make PCW-CWC your daily stop every day this week!

Our theme for today is Tiara or Crown and this is what I created!
I LOVE the color purple so this was the first thought that came to my mind. I used a paper pack from DCVW...I tend to actually combine paks so I can not say I used just one. I created the sentiment with the Crown from Once Upon a Princess Cricut Cartridge. The flourish is from Storybook Cartridge. This is actually an 8x8 piece of thick cardboard that I attached a white ribbon too so it can be used as a wall hanging.
The lovely digi image is from our lovely Paper Crafting World! It is called Bear Sitting Princess and staying with my favorite theme lately I paper pieced part of her outfit and then used my Spectrum Noirs to color the rest. Then what is a princess theme without Sparkles. The Stickles, gems, flowers and doily are from my stash

I LOVEDDDDD making this project. I hope you enjoy it too and being new to Google would love to add up those followers too so if you like what you see please stay awhile.

Summer Fun with Simply Betty

Today I am working to make a dent in my stamp collection.  This is a stamp from Simply Betty in her Emo Summer Collection. It is actually a clear stamp for you clear stamp lovers! I thought it was perfect for the coming summer season. This one I colored with my Copics, added some freckles cause I am a big freckled lady.  I still trying to figure out how to do some nice red hair so forgive me for my attempt but practice makes perfect. Went bright and bold with this one since I always think of brightness when the summer is coming.
