Loves Rubberstamps-Red, White and Blue

Ahhh feel very refreshed this morning as I got to sleep in until 8 am which is late in this house.  Summer vacation is upon us and the girls actually slept in.

It is also time for our weekly challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge. With the 4th of July quickly approaching,

This week our challenge is:

RED, WHITE & BLUE

We want to see you create a project with this color scheme!

Today I decided to use one an older CC Designs stamps from the Sweet November collection. I colored the image with my Copics and then added some embellishments made from the Cricut (the blue stars background (added stickles) and then sentiment (from Stand and Salute Cart)

The gems I received in a great swap group I do on facebook. Very sweet people there.

Anything but a card-Simply Betty Keychain

So with the summer heat, comes the thunderstorm and internet/power outrage acts up so I am posting this one on my phone so forgive my image quality.
Today I again used my bottlecaps to make a key chain. I stamped two teen scene images from Simply Betty Stamps, colored the faces, punched them out and added them to my bottlecaps.
I used dimensional magic this time to fill the bottlecap center and sprinkled some sparkle dust I had in my stash.
I will be entering this on into the following challenges:

Hope you enjoy this.

Sentimental Sundays-Sprays, Mists, Paints

Happy Father's Day to all in the USA that celebrate.  I have been up early letting the dogs out, made hubby breakfast in bed and even mowed the lawn for him yesterday (It is only once a year so I can handle it LOL)

Today over at Sentimental Sundays the challenge is Sprays/Mists/Paints. Our generous sponsor is Mayzy Arts who supplies our DT with images to use.  Today I am using this beauty of an image called Higher Window.

Now I do not use Sprays/Mists at all so this is all new to me. I had to improvise here and use some reinker fluids I had in a spray bottle with water.

I sprayed the background, then I sprayed some white flowers and I took liquid pearls and painted a chipboard heart.  I colored the image with my Copics.  I knnow Pinkalicious but I just used what I had and went with it. Found some new Copic color swatch ideas over at Heather Hobbie's site again (love her ideas) so decided to try it out and love it.

This is also a bittersweet day as I have decided to step down from the Sentimental Sundays team and this will be my last challenge.  It has been a pleasure being here for over a year and love all the DT members and the fantastic leadership by our fearless leader, Calypso.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Loves Rubberstamps Monday Inspirations

Welcome to another Monday Morning Inspiration here at Loves Rubberstamps. Today I decided to showcase some of the images from Stamping Bella. I love the Uptown Girls and thought this image would be a perfect thank you card for one of my daughter's teachers.  This image is called Tessie the Teacher.  My girls are in their last two weeks of school so I am plugging away on getting their cards done.

I used paper from my MME paper stash and colored the image with my Copics. I did NOT paper pieced the skirt but I just used a simple technique of using my Copics to create a pattern on her skirt.

I will be entering this card into a few challenges as well:

Simply Betty Birthday Celebration

With some extra free time on my hands I have been able to enter into the Birthday Celebration for Simply Betty Stamps.  I have been a lover of many of the lines who has available at her shop and this year she is celebrating her 3rd year.

The challenge was to CAS the owner, Betty Roberts, tag. She LOVES Halloween so that is why it is a Halloween theme tag (in 80 degree weather lol).  So I used this adorable stamp called Little Pumpkin Lilly.  I do believe it is only available in digi form at this time though I prefer physical stamps so I tend to buy stamps versus digis when I can.

I have never done a Sepia image before so lets not be too harsh on my but I was super excited to try it and pretty happy with how it turned out.  I may try this technique again.

Copics Used:

E44,43,42,40

I just sponged the edged with a CTMH Brown Bag ink pad and the tag too and used a pumpkin stamp in my stash as the background on my tag. The patterned paper is from Authenique Enchanted collection. All the embellishments and ribbons were gift to me from various SWAP I have participated in.

I will be entering this into the following challenge:

Loves Rubberstamps Morning Inspiration

Welcome to a soggy Monday here in Jersey.  It was so nice to have the weather hold out for the weekend though since this was my daughters soccer tournament weekend. It was a blast and they had a great time to the end.

Today I am showcasing one of my favorite PI stamps called Picture Perfect. I used MME papers and colored the image with my Copics.

I have been loving that self made plaid idea from Rosemary blog and used it again to create this pattern.

Hope everyone has a great day and I will be back tomorrow for this weeks Tuesday Challenge! Bet you are going to love it.

Magnolia Card-Forgot to post

So I completely forgot to post this card since it was used by my DT as a last minute fill in card and not part of my regular scheduled programming.   It is one crazy weekend with soccer tournaments going on here so I will make it quick.

Here it is...

The paper is from MME, the flowers are Prima and the butterflies are from my wood veneer stash at Michaels. The lace ribbon is also from my stash. I colored the image with my Copics.

Of course I forgot to write down which ones I used again. Sorry folks
