Trying my hand at a Mixed Media Canvas

So I had some blank small canvas in my stash and saw a recent YouTube video about ATC cards that got me thinking about doing this project in a larger style and using the supplies I had handy.

My first step was to ink up the image, Prima Princess -Syndey on to the canvas using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.   I then sponged the background using Distress Inks. The colors I used are Bundled Sage, Scattered Straw, Seedless Preserves and Tattered Rose.  The final step was adding Stickles (crystal color) to the image to create a 3D event. I finished it off with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist sprays.

I really like the way it come out even if the images is more subtle then I was going for.  I will try to do a quick tutorial on how I made this one on my YouTube channel as some point.

Fotobella DT Post

Hello Everyone,
I am super excited to be bring you my first post for Fotobella as part of the DT.  I am starting it off with an adorable sweet layout.  It has been awhile since I dug out some of my old pictures of my babies and got a layout done.  When I got this Carta Bella Spring Market Paper Collection is just perfect with the light spring colors and flowers for this image.  The top tags are stickers that are from the Paper Collection.  The Journal piece of "Beauty" is combining the Spring Market Frames and Tags Chipboard Ephemera and the paper collection.

You can't go wrong with this paper collection for those lovely spring memories especially for those little girls in your life.  (psss don't tell my teen I dug this old photo out and showed it to the world lol).

Altered Box

With repurposing on my mind, I saw the box that the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform came in and thought it would be great to make a shadowbox out of it.  So that is what I did.  I used some papers from DCVW, added chipboard from my stash, and stamped onto a wood piece with a Prima Stamp called Aubrey.  Want to see the steps by steps on how I did this?  Check out my youtube videos on the project.
