Welcome back everyone. It is me, Olivia. To all those in the USA, Happy Memorial Day weekend. Hope it turns out to be a lovely one for you.

My project for today is both for inspiration with a bit of steps on how to do it. I decided to try a new technique and make a shaker card. I have only done one or two but learned a new trick of using foam to pop up the die.

The first step is to cut the die on the pattern paper from this fantastic die by Die-Version Whispers Hot Air Balloon Birthday.  Then I ran the foam and die to cut out a thick piece. I used some thin plastic from my stash and did an outline of the top part of the balloon die and cut it to shape. I glued to plastic to the pattern paper and glued to foam to the cardstock and put the sparkles in before I glued the plastic/patterned die to the foam piece.  I added some pearls for accents and used the birthday sentiment die that is part of this set as well. I really like that the sentiment comes with it but cuts separately so allows you to option to not use it for other projects.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and be sure to check out all the fantastic dies available at the Dies R Us Store; and do not forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog! A new challenge is offered on the 1st and 15th of each month with a Gift Certificate to one winner
