Featured Artist @ Sweet Pea Stamps-Helena Reis

Since I still have Halloween on the brain, I thought this adorable image from Helena Reis called Trick or Treat.  The paper is from my stash of Halloween papers. I used a variety of Copics to color this one up.

Our lovely Lynette from Sweet Pea also gave us some sentiments to work with and thought this one was perfect for a Halloween theme card.  See sure to check out all the lovely images available from Helena at Sweet Pea Stamps.

Since this will most likely be my last Halloween Card for the season, I have decided to enter this one into a few challenges.

Crafty Sentiments Challenge-Use a Sentiment

It is time for another new challenge for Crafty Sentiments.
This week, new challenge is:

Use a sentiment,
(all you need is add a sentiment somewhere on your card/project)

The fantastic prize is the great stamp! Isn't it perfect for the upcoming holidays?

Today I decided to use this stamp called Sing a Long.

I have decided I am more classic style with making my cards and I think I will embrace it instead of trying to get all embellishment happy here. I colored the image with my Copics and did it a bit different in which I tried to match the image to the paper (I usually do it backwards). I am also trying to perfect different skin shades.

Copic Combo:

Skin: E35,34,31,R32
Hair: E49,47,44
Outfit Blue: B97,95,93
Orange: YR07.04
Guitar: E57,55

So I hope to see your lovely creations in our challenge and check out the adorable stamps available over at Crafty Sentiments. I just posted the new sale info as well for those who love a bargain.

I will also be entering this one into the following challenges:

Whimsy Stamps DT Call

Hey everyone,

I have always been a lover of the many designers over at Whimsy Stamps and was super excited to see they are having a DT call. I have always had a passion for using stamps over digis, especially rubber stamps and I have adored the artists past and present that have worked with Whimsy. I would be honored to use these fantastic stamps and dies as a designer.  So I am throwing my hat into the ring with a few cards I made this week.

The first one is from an adorable image from the Wee Collection by Sylvia Zet called Dandelion Girl. I colored her with my trusty Copics and used a variety of papers from my MME paper pads. Also used one of my punches to create the border trim.

Copics used were :

Skin: E15,13,11R20
Hair: E 49.47.44
Dress Green: G29,28,21,20
Orange: YR61,65
Dandelion: touch of C1
Sky: B0000,B00,B01
Can: C3,2,1

I also had time to use one of the fabulous Whimsy Stamps in the Little Cottage Collection by Elisabeth Bell.  This beauty is called Miss Chloe

Again I added a mish mash of papers from both Bo Bunny and Fancy Pants. I colored the images with my Copics. The sentiment came from one of my Whimsy Sentiment Stamp set called Everyday Notables Saying 4 which is such a handy set for your cards. I also did some sponging to add more color to the image itself.

Skin: E11,E00,E000, R20

Best of luck to all who are entering and for my followers thanks for the well wishes. Here is the info if anyone else is looking for more info.

I used paper from Fancy Pants Collection called Park Bench and I think I may finally be done with this pad (yes I did the unthinkable and used up a paper pad lol).

I colored the image with my Copics and used some ribbon trim I had in my stash as well. The sentiment is from my collection.

CC Designs Card

I recently saw that CC Design is having a DT call and I decided to give it a try.  I have always enjoyed a number of their image lines.  The card I decided to create is using this cutie of image called Birgitta

I used the sketch from Deconstructed Sketch and colored the image with my Copics. I also did one of my favorite techniques of paper piecing her clothes.  The paper is a mixture of Lawn Fawn and Simple Stories.

Whimsy Stamp-Time for Tea

I have been eyeing these Whimsy Stamps set-Time for Tea Designs for some time and was lucky enough to get my hands on some recently.

So as I turn on the heat tonight in the house due to first really cool night here as we enter fall, I thought this card is just so appropriate.

I used a variety of papers from my MME stash I have. I took a portion of the stamp called Fall Love.
I colored it with my Copics and used some self-made plaid work on it. I then used one of my dies from Your Next Stamps called Insta Love for the polaroid effect. The sentiments is from my sticker stash.

I will be entering this one into a few challenges:

Sweet Pea-Valarie Wade

Welcome back everyone for my inspirational post for this week. Today I am showcasing one of the adorable images from Sweet Pea Artist-Valarie Wade.  This image is called mermaid and available as a digi or a rubber stamp as well.

Isn't this Mermaid too cute. I used some paper from my stash and added some left over stickers from my CTMH embellishments sets I have. As always I colored the image with my Copics and I adore the color purple so that was the first thing that came to my mind when I colored this cutie.
