Cooking with Cricut-Challenge 88 Flowers

So happy to see how many new followers on my blog. Welcome everyone and hope to be commenting on many of you in my challenge DT rotations.  Today we have another fabulous challenge at Cooking with Cricut. This week at Cooking With Cricut we are creating projects with flowers.

I have been trying my best to clear out my stash and use the items I have at had.  I decided to dig out a Cartridge that I have not used in awhile, Walk in My Garden.  I created a 4x9 card and used a retired stash of paper I had in my collection from CTMH and use it to cut out the stems and the center of the flowers.  I also used up some of my neverending pile of chipboard I have with the butterfly that I just sponged with three different ink colors and sponged and stamped the Sentiment.  Ribbon/Brads are from my stash.

So lets see what you create with your Cricut.  I will be entering this one in:

1) Shopping our Stash-May flowers
2) Ladybugs Crafts Ink-Something with Wings
3) Latinas en America Retro-Mariposas/Butterflies
4) Die Cuttin Divas-Anything Goes with a Die Cut
5) Creative Card Crew-Dimension
6) Celebrate the Occasion-Anything Goes

Yeah..I have been chosen to be on the Loves Rubberstamps Design Team

Many of you know that if I had a choice between a good ole-fashion stamp and a digi...it would be a stamp hands down. I feel I can get so much more crisper and detail images, better coloring and makes my paper piecing madness even easier!

I figured I would give it a long shot to apply for the Loves Rubberstamps design team and with luck on my side, Laura Love, was kind enough to pick me for this team!!! Yeah.  I am soooo excited to be part of the very talented team and to show you the fabulous items she has in the store....including some the most popular brands of Whimsy Stamps, Sweet Pea, Great Impressions, Belle & Whistles, Lawn Fawn, Flourishes, Mo Manning, Stamping Bella and MORE! She is also the ONLY USA Retailer of Crafty Sentiments Stamps too. She is constantly adding more and more retailers too so keep coming back to check on her inventory.

Our first challenge will be next Tuesday so I hope to see all of you there with your fabulous creations and to win some fabulous prizes!  To check out the store, please stop by Loves Rubberstamps to see the great items she has to offer.

Happy Memorial Day USA.

Just wanted to take this moment to thank our servicemen past and present here in the USA.  Especially you Papi a proud Army man, siempre en nuestros corazones, as you are deeply missed.

May those who celebrate bask in the joy and remain thankful of the ones who live a life of freedom due to the selflessness of others.

Off to spend the day with my siblings and the kiddos.

Karen Doodles-Get Well Card

Hello Everyone. I was finally been able to get my attention focused on finishing this card.  Sometimes my ADD gets in the way and I am doing like 5 projects at one time but I was determined to get this one in.

I created this one with two challenges in mind...one is Karen's Doodles. I do adore her images and the other one is Latinas en America. I cut out the character after coloring with my Copics...again some paper piecing and placed on a Spellbinders Scallop cut.  Paper is from my Stash.

I will be entering this on in

1) Latinas en America- based on their Sketch
2) Karen Doodles-Stitching (can you see my stitching on the edges?...I did faux stitching but think it may be too light on the pink background).

2 Sisters Challenges-This one for the Boys!

Good morning and welcome back to the 2 Sisters challenge. This week we are being sponsored by. . .

Our challenge is. . . .
Bring on The Boys!!

This week we want to see projects using male images only.

Sparkle Creations

As many of you who visit me regularly...(I hope to have more of that) know I love Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps. Her stamps are fabulous and I always prefer red rubber stamps for their crisp pictures. I believe this stamp is called Daffodil Charlotte. They have challenges too but this one does not fit the theme so will be just going to other challenges.
I stamped with my Memento Black and then colored with my Copics markers. I decide to just paper piece her apron.  This paper set is called Sophia from CTMH but I am pretty sure this is retired.  The flowers I created with my Cricut with the Art Philosophy cartridge.  *****I am saying this with no benefit to myself but the Art Philosophy Cartridge is the BEST Cartridge I have ever had and soooooo happy with the many ways I can use it. It is pretty much my go to cartridge and I would strongly encourage you to get it for those serious Cricuteers (is that a word???).  Sentiment is from My Creative Times-This and That set.

I will be entering this one in:

Outlawz Challenge-Anything Goes

So Proud-D'arcy Diaries

This card was create with my babysitter in mind. She is graduating from high school and off to college in August.  She too enjoys scrapbooking and I often let her borrow my Cricut Cartridges for project cause I am hoarder of those too :-)..but at least with my DT-Cookin with Cricut I have been putting them to good use.

Anyways, this fabulous digi is from D'arcy Diaries. They appear to be a more recent digi company but I always appreciate unique talent and her drawings are like no one else I have seen.

I am not really happy with my shading of my dark blues. I am still working on using the darker colors since it is not a color I turn to often so forgive me...any pointers greatly appreciated.  The paper is from MME and I used my Cricut to create the background she is applied too as well as the pennants.

I will be entering this one in:

1) D'arcy Dairies Challenge-Bunting/Pennants
2) Charisma Cardz-No flowers
3) Hot Shot Crafts-Die Cuts
4) Bearly Mine-Anything Goes-2nd entry
5) Bunny Zoes-Anything Goes
6) Send a Smile for Kids-Anything Goes for kids
7) Ohh la la-Ribbon and Twine
8) Penny Paper Crafty-Anything Goes

Cookin with Cricut-Day 4 Tiara or Crown!

Welcome to Paper Crafting World and Cooking With Cricut's 2nd Blog-Aversary and our week long celebration! Each day for a whole week (May 19-26) we will be bringing you fabulous projects made by our Design Team members. We have some GREAT blog candy as well as some daily file and graphic give-aways -- so you will definitely want to make PCW-CWC your daily stop every day this week!

Our theme for today is Tiara or Crown and this is what I created!
I LOVE the color purple so this was the first thought that came to my mind. I used a paper pack from DCVW...I tend to actually combine paks so I can not say I used just one. I created the sentiment with the Crown from Once Upon a Princess Cricut Cartridge. The flourish is from Storybook Cartridge. This is actually an 8x8 piece of thick cardboard that I attached a white ribbon too so it can be used as a wall hanging.
The lovely digi image is from our lovely Paper Crafting World! It is called Bear Sitting Princess and staying with my favorite theme lately I paper pieced part of her outfit and then used my Spectrum Noirs to color the rest. Then what is a princess theme without Sparkles. The Stickles, gems, flowers and doily are from my stash

I LOVEDDDDD making this project. I hope you enjoy it too and being new to Google would love to add up those followers too so if you like what you see please stay awhile.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you head on over to Cooking With Cricut to check out the rest of the projects by our amazing Design Teams!

I will be entering this one into:

1) MilkCoffee Creations-Die Cuts
2) Crop stop-Doilies
3) Dare to be Sassy-Hats off to you (crowns count too!)

Pinkalicious Challenge-Cookin with Cricut

Welcome to Paper Crafting World and Cooking With Cricut's 2nd Blog-Aversary and our week long celebration! Each day for a whole week (May 19-26) we will be bringing you fabulous projects made by our Design Team members. We have some GREAT blog candy as well as some daily file and graphic give-aways -- so you will definitely want to make PCW-CWC your daily stop every day this week!

Our theme for today is Pinkalicious and this is what I created!

To create the cut out in the center I actually use Wild Card Cartridge under the Frame option. I then used a flat square of the same patterned paper to give dimension to the front with foam strips. The sentiments is from Nursery Rhythms Cartridge.  The embellishments are from my stash.

And now it is your turn! Head on over to Cooking With Crict and link up your project with today's theme for your chance at becoming our next Top Chef!

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you head on over to Cooking With Cricut to check out the rest of the projects by our amazing Design Teams! Also come back tomorrow and see what our week long 2nd Blog-Aversary has to often too.

Summer Fun with Simply Betty

Today I am working to make a dent in my stamp collection.  This is a stamp from Simply Betty in her Emo Summer Collection. It is actually a clear stamp for you clear stamp lovers! I thought it was perfect for the coming summer season. This one I colored with my Copics, added some freckles cause I am a big freckled lady.  I still trying to figure out how to do some nice red hair so forgive me for my attempt but practice makes perfect. Went bright and bold with this one since I always think of brightness when the summer is coming.

Paper is from Echo Park stash I have.

I will be entering this one in

I whipped this one up last night.  The paper is from DCWV-not sure of the name of the stack though.  I colored it with my Spectrum Noirs this time except for the skin which I used my Copics on since I really like the richness of colors I can get on skin with my Copics though I can not wait to get more flesh tones...why do I not have a money tree???

My middle daughter is about to celebrate her first graduation in a few weeks.  She will be graduating from Kindergarten. Once I saw this digi from Mayzy Arts I knew I wanted it use this one.  She goes to Catholic School and wears a plaid jumper as her uniform.  I used paper from my stash...this is by CTMH called Roxie but I think it may be retired now.  I used my Cricut to create the border, bling from my stash and the flower is a Prima flower. Sorry for the angle but have the worse light in her today.

I will be entering this one for now in:

1) Mayzy Challenge-Flowers

Will probably be back for my Challenges later but got to run to the gym now. Am not going to fit in the bathsuit if I do not stay focused!

Miss ya while I craft :-)!

So hubby will be leaving tonight for a whole week for work. Though I will miss him, I look forward to a whole week of guilt free nights of hiding in my craft room once the kiddos are sleeping away.  Got lots of ideas in this head of mind and so excited to get them out there.

As round two of new DT calls come out wish me luck. Hoping to add one more DT to my new list this summer if they will have me. Trust me I am a worker bee and my current  DT teams can attest to it!

Mother's Day card

Have to say I was a bit saddened when I heard that one of my fav stamping companies, Tickled Pink, is going out of business.  I love their stamps especially their Pinkette line so they will be greatly missed by me.  I have snagged some of their rubber while I still can (they are also having a sale on their digis on their site for those digi lovers).

I actually got this one from All that Scraps Store though a while back so decided to ink it up.  I used my Spellbinders for the cut out, handmade the flower, used Tuxedo Memento Ink to stamp it and my Spectrum Niors to color it.  Added some bling and some stickles to my flower, paper is from My Minds Eye, twine I got from stash that I originally bought from CTMH and also the sentiment is from a sticker in my stash.  The

My oldest daughter is a huge Monster High fan so I bought this digi from Simply Betty Stamps that was release as a limited time digi for the Spooky Spunks.  I love her stamps and digis....still love the stamps best :-)!

Keeping with my Cleansing Program...this paper is from my stash of Roxie paper I got from CTMH about 6 months back.  I won the Sentiments from Little Darlings Stamps (did you hear they are working with Krista Smith and will be releasing Saturated Canary STAMPS..>AHHHH so excited so I better get through my stash quick so I can order those in July)

I used my Cricut to create the hat on the puppy and the flower on the card.  I then also paper pieced her dressed.  I will be entering this one in:

Crafty Cleansing Personal Challenge-

So I went to the Dentist last night and somehow what was suppose to be a simple cavity filling turned into a root canal...so after a whooping 400+ bill, nearly got teary in the office, I was looking for a relaxing night of crafting.

And as I looked at my craft table, I realized I have way too much to the point where things are collecting dust and those things that I just "had" to have are forgotten.

So the point of my rambling my new personal challenge is to not buy anything new....papers, stamps, digis, embellishments until I have used all of the stuff in my stash at least once!

Who is with me??? No more hoarding.  The challenges starts today. Feel free to leave your blog addy in the comments and we can support each other!

****Reminder Blog Candy drawing once I hit fifty followers and there may be more as I plurge my hoarding ways****

Ps...glue not included cause you know how quick that goes.

Happy Crafting my Bloggy friends.

Paper Piecing Mania

Last night, I had one of the those days that I wanted to Paper Piece EVERYTHING.  I finished up some cards last nights and paper pieced each of them so forgive me for my paper piecing mania.

The first is a card I have loving.  I had this retired paper set from CTMH called Sophia that is sooo spring and I love the pink/green combo that I decided I just had to stop hoarding it and use it.  I am still working on my picture taking...I personally like that slightly darker but what do you think? Got some great ideas from a lovely tutorital that Lacey Stephens did!  This lovely stamp is by Belle & Whistles by the lovely Elisabeth Bell. I just love her drawings.
