One of artists over at Sweet Pea Stamps that make such sweet faces on her characters is Valarie Wade. I have been longing to color up some of her images.
I used my paper from Fancy Pants-Park Bench. I used one of my Spellbinder dies to create the embellished doily look on the card. I then cut the doily in half and added it to the two corners.
I colored the image with my Copics:
Hair: C9,7,5,3,
Skin: E15,13,11
Dress: Y19,15,11 and B000
Be sure to check out some of the wonderful images that Valarie has in the shop.

Make It Crafty Coloring Image
This crazy has just been so busy with the kids being home and all the fun activities we have been doing so I do apologize for my inconsistent posting.
I am just popping in with a colored image I did for the Make It Crafty Contest. One of the things I love is that is a true coloring challenge so you can just pop a colored image into the contest.
This month the challenge was blond hair for the Easy challenge or creases and folds for the Hard Challenge.

This month the challenge was blond hair for the Easy challenge or creases and folds for the Hard Challenge.
This is one of the first times I have tried to added creases and folds that were not in the clothes to begin with. A bit tricky and still have a bunch of practice to do but pretty happy with the progress.
For the blonde I used: Y11,Y15,Y19,YR24
Purples: V25,22,20
Green: G9,5,2,00
Skin: E110,000,R20
Hope you like it and hope to get it into a card soon.

Sweet Pea Stamps-Featured Artist week Lisa Victoria
This week our featured artist is the super talented, Lisa Victoria. She has some amazing dragon and fantasy themed digis and stamps that are sure to amaze you.
I decided to use the image, Fire Dragon.
I had this great DCVW paper called Once a Upon a Time that was perfect to pair with the image. I then colored the dragon in Copics and tried to get a more reptile scale feel with it by dotting the scales on in different shades of green. I added some stickles as well to the dragon and distressed it with my ink pads.

Birthday Card
One of my oldest and dearest friends had a birthday recently so I had to get a card ready for her. We do not live that close anymore so we do not see each other a lot but this image reminded me of our college days of our get togethers so thought it would be perfect to use.
I think almost everything I used on this card may be retired by now. I used a stamp from Stamping Bella that I am not sure if still available but I always loved the Bella collection. I then used a sentiment stamp and die set from Taylored Expression. The paper is from MME stash. Of course colored the image with my Copics.
I will be entering this one into a few challenges as well:
Cupboard Trilogy-Birthday
Stamp and Create-Birthdays
Pumpkin Spice-Anything Goes
Treasured Times-Anything Goes
Fussy and Fancy-All about the Girls
Aud Sentiments-Anything Goes
Creative Moments-Anything Goes/Celebration
Colour Q-based on colors

Layout
Happy Monday. The girls have all started their summer camps this week and seem excited to have something else to do but "sit around".
I was able to squeeze in some crafting recently for the family and decided to do a layout for my daughter's recent communion. So excited to get a layout done within the same year the event actually happened...WHOA.
For this layout, I was inspired by a sketch I saw. I used my die-cuts to create the flourishes (Cindy Loo Cart) by Cricut and also used a paper set I got at the craft store. Also used my border punches for the brown polka dot stripe on the bottom.
Now I had to add some touches of blue because my daughter's favorite color was blue and she reminded me that I have to reflect her tastes too so I had the cross in my stash and used a label I made for the favor in the layout as well.
I will be entering this one into the following challenges:
Loves Rubberstamps-Anything Goes
Anything But a Card-Anything Goes
Time for Scrap-Anything goes
Charisma Cardz-Show Us What else you can do (anything but a card)
Crafting by Design-Anything Goes
Through the Craft Door-Anything Goes
Simon Says Monday-I ought to use this more (my Cricut and punches)
