I hope everyone is getting a chance to enjoy their weekend and remember to spend that quality time with our loved ones.  My heart has been filled with many emotions since yesterday and my thoughts and deepest sympathy goes out to all of the families who were so deeply affected in CT.

Welcome to Day 14 at Paper Crafting World. Today our theme is
SEPTEMBER-Back 2 School, Apples and or Honey

You can create a Calendar Page to correspond with the calendar that we will be completing during this event and or you can create a project that showcases the back to school and or apples and or honey (bees are fine too) themes.

Now look who got another page done!!! Now this one is not too late...giving these are the first day of school pictures for my oldeste daughter who is now in 3rd grade...3 year is not too bad right LOL.

Again being layout challenged, I very happily used the sketch over at MFT to do this layout.  I used my Locker Talk for the words "First Day at School" and the pencil is actually from my Community Cart.  I had those crayon brads in my stash for a while and went with this color scheme to match.

Now do not forget to stop by to see the freebies that are available for today.

Paper Crafting World-August Theme

Welcome to day 13 at Paper Crafting World. Today our theme is Chillaxin!.
You can create a project that showcases the beach, pool, vacation theme. Anything that would represent the idea of "Chillin' Out" and or Relaxing....."Chillaxin""

I decide to do a scrap page from my 10 year anniversary cruise I took this year.  The paper is actually from a scrap page set I got on the Carnival cruise line.  I then  took out my Life's a Beach to create the medallions and wave border and the flower on top.  I used Pack Your Bags for the Cruise ship.

Used a layout idea from CTMH scrapbook pages cause I have noooo imagination for layout so I usually use a preexisting sketch for them.

Paper Crafting World-Cocoa & Gift Card holder

Welcome to Day 12 of Paper Crafting World 25 Days of Christmas Celebration.
Today our theme is KRIS and KOMPANY

Create a project using Santa (Kris Kringle) and or his merry band of workers, elves, Ms. Claus, etc. !.
Today I used the FANTASTIC DIGI that PCW is offering as a freebie so be sure to stop by the site to pick it up cause these are DAILY freebies.

I used some of my Flocking power to thicken Kris beard and colored the image with my Copics. I then decided to create this gift card, hot cocoa holder.

I can not find the video link that I got this one from but I do have the dimensions so I will list them if anyone wants to try this.

1 piece of cardstock 6 3/4 x 7 3/8
1 piece 3 1/4 x 4 7/8
1 piece 2 1/2 x 3/12

For the large piece score on the vertical side @ 3 1/2 and then turn the other side vertical so that you score again @ 3 1/2 to create the thin band in the center of the card

For the cocoa pocket score vertically @ 4 1/8 and 4 1/2
then horizontally score at 2 1/2 and 2 7/8
cut out the very bottom corners and then fold the crease lines inward and tape the bottoms score lines to the large cardstock (I used scor tape for this)
Tape on the side and bottom and leave top part open to slide your Cocoa packet into.

For Gift card just tape side and bottom leaving top open to slide in card.

I found it easier to decorate everything first and then add the cocoa gift holder part.

You can create a belly band or a ribbon to hold this close.

I created the Poinsetta with the Flower Shoppe cartridge which I cut at 2 inches x 2 and one at 1.34. leaves at 2 inches and center roll at 1.34.

The wreath and reindeer were cut at 3 inches via my Christmas Noel cart.  The paper is a combo of scraps from K & Company and Authentique.

Yeah I did another scrap page!

So found some great time one Saturday to get some more scrap book pages done.  I am actually current with my littlest annual Bday pictures I get done at JC Pennys! She is an August baby and a lover of pink so that is why this is not really a Wintery type scene here.

This is from a retired paper collection by CTMH called Sophia that I still had piles of so decided to use it.  I also used some ribbon I had in my stash, the matching journal notes for the Sophia set and the MFT Faux Crochet Border. The quote is from my stash of Rub ons I that are all about Girls!  Also hit my Chipboard stash here too.  Love it when I start clearing things up.

The layout inspiration came from MFT Scrap Challenge that they have restarted and gave me the push I need to get some pages done. I actually used this layout twice but the second is a upcoming DT project so no peeking! You need to link up via Splitcoast stampers to do this.

I will also be entering this one on the Paper Girls Challenge Blog-multi pic layouts.
