Loves Rubberstamps Inspirational Post

Welcome to another Loves Rubberstamps Inspirational Monday. Hopefully my scheduled posting has gone live as I should be soaking my feet in the beach at Wildwood at this time :-)! Yeah for the Jersey Shore and a great way to celebrate our last week of summer vacation in Jersey.

This lovely is called Jasmine and one of the more recent Whimsy Stamps release by artist Kenny K.  Trying to spice it up a bit and use some more softer tones. I think this is at pastel as I am going to get but overall I am happy with it.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Sketchy Colors-Color Challenge
Crafty Sentiments-Lots of Flowers

Autumn Celebrations Cartridge Showcase

It is that time again to showcase another fabulous Cricut Cartidge for Cooking with Cricut. One of my all-time favorite cartridges is Autumn Celebrations. I love the Fall and this cart has such great Fall theme images and card shapes!

The first up is a fall Wall hanging I did. I had some hay left over from an old scarecrow I had so I decided to use that on the border. I cut out the sentiment at 5 inches and used some retired papers I had from CTMH in my stash. The flowers have been in my stash too.

I do apologize again for my pictures but this is the best image I can get on my phone. The Sentiment says "12345 Count Your Blessings." The wall hanging is 8x8.

The next up are two cards I made for Halloween. Though I am not into scary things I do adore Halloween but more of the cutesy stuff from it.

The first card contains the fabulous detailed and layer Haunted House available on this cartridge.  I also used some elements from October 31st which is another great Halloween cart.

The next card is using a monster and sentiment from Autumn Celebrations. isn't it one of the cutest monsters you ever seen!

The final item is doing a scrapbook layout of some Halloween & Pumpkin Picking pictures I had of my two oldest.  I used the phrase for the Witching Hour and cut it as 2 1/2 and the other is actually a tag that says Trick or Treat.

I hope you enjoyed my showcase and thanks for taking the time to see my work.

Crafty Hugz!

Whiff of Joy-EB Summer Breeze

I am FINALLY BACK ON MY HOME COMPUTER! Oh how glorious. So happy. It appears to have been the strangest thing but apparently Mcaffee (sp?) update their Firewall software sooo well that it was blocking out all Cablevision customers. Crazy huh? Well anyway, they told us how to fix it and I am up and running again.

This gorgeous image is a Whiff of Joy Stamp by Elizabeth Bell called Summer Breeze.  ENABLER ALERT*****There is a great clearance sale going on at Whiff of Joy store with tons of EB stamps available. The shipping was super fast for an international delivery though I did pay more for an insurance package****.

I colored the image with my Copics and use my Circut Art Philosophy Cart to make the card and my Spellbinders for the Scallop Circles.

Anyway, made this card to enter into a few Challenges,

Hello everyone..looks like my computer has gone to the Computer Place in the Sky so no home internet but it still works with other things so i decide to still upload my picture, put in GIMP to watermark and the  take a photo with my camera (while chewing bubble gum and rubbing my head LMBO), so I will be IPad it for a while till we can get a new one.  So I hope you can tolerate my camera phone picture..crooked and all :-)!

Today I want to show you the card I made with the Some Odd Girl Sketch in mind.  I used my stamp image Wishes that I just adore. I found some cheaper paper alternative (Hammermill Color Copy Paper Digital 100 bright ) that works really well for digital and stamps too.  This is nice for me since I make sooo many cards and it is only like $15 for 500 sheets.

Welcome to Cooking With Cricut’s very special SURPRISE “Thank You” Blog Hop. Why is it so special? We are celebrating  our 100th Cooking With Cricut challenge and the second (and most important) is to thank our wonderful leader and “Executive Chef” Melinda Beltran.

Melin started the Cooking With Cricut challenges in October 2010 to encourage crafters to find new and different ways to use their Cricut cartridges. And she has accomplished that and so much more! She has given scores of crafters a place on her Design Teams which quickly turned into a sisterhood of women. It has been a great pleasure to serve on this design team and I will miss everyone in the future.

So this is our SURPRISE “Thank You” tribute to our beloved Melin! We had her fooled the whole time and I hope this hop helps her realized how special she is in the lives she has touched.

If you came from our lovely Hattie's blog, you’re in the right place! If you’ve joined us in mid-hop and would like to start at the beginning, please head back to Cooking With Cricut you won’t want to miss any of these awesome cards!!

I love patterned paper and I love my Art Philosophy cart so I decided to create this fabulous card using those two things I love.  The card was cut at 5 1/2 and then I cut everything else at 5.  The tag is from My Craft Spot-Teeny Tags and the flower I also made from the cart.

Thanks so much for hopping with us. We hope you’ll join us and leave your own “thank you” in the comment section for Melin at CWC! Now it’s time to head on over to Suzanne blog as she’s the next stop on this party train!

Back to School with Cooking with Cricut

It is the time of year when we starting winding down our summer vacation and start prepping for the back to school time.  Our kids do not start to after Labor Day here but I know in other parts of the USA, kids have already gone back to school.

Today my project also incorporates a PCW digi too. The paper is from my long held DCWV School Stack.  I used Locker Talk to create the book and the bookbag and dug out my eyelets.  Colored this one with my Bic Markers this time and used a bit of my gel pen.

So lets see your Back to School Projects over at Cooking with Cricut.
